Kick off of an International Export Program for Dutch Fashion SME’s , in Lyon, on October 15th and 16th 2014

image modeThe Amsterdam University of Economics & Management, launched together with the Ecole Supérieure IDRAC Lyon a special study plan helping fashion entrepreneurs from 4 European cities in their wish to “go international”.   Smaller entrepreneurs in this area are overruled by big internationals. So, the idea is to support this very special area in the creative industries.  The support will be generated by students who will act as sales and marketing consultants. Lecturers from both universities will coach the students.

The goal of this program is to expand export opportunities for SME’s ( out of the creative industry) by students, working in international groups coached by an international staff with sponsors like Embassies, Netherlands Business Support Offices like  NBSO Lyon, Chambers of commerce, local Professional institutes/clusters and private companies.

The international week in Lyon focusses on bringing the Dutch and French students together so they can build relationships together as they have to work in this project in international teams. All involved companies will be there to give presentations about their company, their export ambitions and the desired new business partners enabling the students to generate adequate leads. Students and companies will also use the time to explore Lyon for business opportunities and research.
