Zéro Emission Valley

station à hydrogène

Although It is not well known, 80% of French hydrogen technologies are located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. This territory has an exceptional concentration of players in the hydrogen sector, especially in Isère area, with major companies such as Air Liquide McPhy,  Atawey http://atawey.com,  Symbio, http://www.symbiofcell.com

as well as laboratories such as, CEA Liten, http://liten.cea.fr , InstitutNéel http://neel.cnrs.fr , LEPMI, http://lepmi.grenoble-inp.fr The turnover of the sector reaches nearly 200 million euros already.

In July 2017, the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region with the support of Tenerrdis / http://www.tenerrdis.fr (energy cluster), participated to a European call for projects entitled “Zero Emission Valley” which aims to develop the hydrogen mobility ecosystem, in order to set up a chain of excellence. The objective is to offer hydrogen vehicles at the same price as diesel vehicles. Hydrogen will be produced from electrolysis and green energies.

The answer from Brussels is now expected in a few weeks, in November.

Thanks to a public/private partnership built around leaders and start-ups located in A.R.A Region, twenty hydrogen stations, as well as a fleet of a thousand vehicles running on hydrogen will be implemented.

Border partners as the Val d’Aoste and Greater Geneva have also confirmed their interest in this project.
