Nowadays, French consumers are following trends that are more ethical and sustainable for the planet. According to the Bio/ CSA agency study, 83% of the French population has already changed its food consumption into a more responsible pattern. 87% of French people are aware of the well-being of the meat they consume and 69% of French people are willing to pay a more expensive price for bio products. Moreover, French customers choose bio products for the following reasons: 69% the health, 61% the environment and 60% the quality and taste. Besides that, 67% of the French population has already bought a bio product. The 5 best preferred bio products are: 78% for fruits and vegetables, 71% for dairy products, 65% for eggs and 49% for meat. The Bio consumption turnover in 2016, has reached 7 billion euros in France.
